Picnic Garden is a neighborhood in Kolkata. Technically it is a locality in the Tiljala area, extending between Bartala More and VIP area. For all practical purposes and in popular parlance, Picnic Garden refers to the area east of the Bondel Gate, off Ballygunge Place. ==Transport== The auto-rickshaws running in three routes bring the important crossings of Ballygunge Fari, Gariahat and Park Circus within easy reach. Buses (42A, 39, 39A and 39A/2) and minibuses (Dey's Medical - Howrah, Picnic Garden - Howrah) connect the area throughout the length and breadth of the city. Pedalled rickshaws provide the last mile connectivity. Picnic Garden is served by the Sealdah South Section of the Kolkata Suburban Railway. Ballygunge Railway Station and the Park Circus Railway Station are 1.4 km and 1.8 km away from Colony Bazar respectively. The residents can access the either the Kalighat or the Jatin Das Park stations of the Kolkata Metro, both at a distance of almost 4 km away. The construction of the Bondel Gate flyover, bridging the Kolkata Suburban Railway (Sealdah South Section) between Picnic Garden Road and Bondel Road, completed in 2006 after a long legal wrangle over land dispute, has eased up much of the traffic congestion. The proposed widening of Picnic Garden Road and G. S. Bose Road is yet to take place.〔http://www.telegraphindia.com/1060222/asp/calcutta/story_5876443.asp〕 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Picnic Garden」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
